High-octane motorcycle spectacle: Hyderabad to host Indian Supercross Racing League on Dec 6

Hyderabad: The city is set to host the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) — the world’s first franchise-based Supercross series — on December 6 at Gachibowli Stadium. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy unveiled the poster for the league’s second round, marking a major milestone for motorsport in Telangana.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is expected to grace the event as a special guest.

‘No public money involved’

Officials clarified that the high-octane motorcycle racing event is being organised without government funding, unlike the Formula E race. No public money is being provided to private organisers for hosting the competition.

The poster launch was attended by ISRL Co-Founders along with representatives from BigRock Motorsports. The Hyderabad round will feature intense off-road motorcycle racing, showcasing both international and Indian riders.

This is the first time Telangana will host a global Supercross event of this scale, promising world-class athletes, advanced racing infrastructure and an immersive fan experience. The initiative supports CM Revanth Reddy’s ‘Telangana Rising 2047’ vision focused on innovation, youth empowerment and boosting sports and tourism.

ISRL Co-Founder Eeshan Lokhande said his meeting with the Chief Minister was highly encouraging, praising his commitment to bringing top-tier sporting events to the state. He added that Supercross fuels courage, skill and passion and expressed hope that the league will inspire young talent across Telangana.

The event is expected to offer new avenues in sports, culture and the local economy while drawing thousands of spectators, international teams and motorsport enthusiasts.

Festivities will begin on December 5 with the Reise Moto Fan Park, which was a major attraction during Round 1 in Pune. It will include live music, gaming zones, racing simulators, food and beverage stalls, merchandise counters and other experiential activities to create a vibrant carnival atmosphere for motorsport fans.
