Hyderabad to see water disruption for 24 hours on Wednesday over repairs to leakages

Hyderabad: Residents in several parts of Hyderabad will experience intermittent water supply over 24 hours due to repair work on a major water pipeline.
The repair work will begin on September 24 (Wednesday) at 6 am and continue until September 25 (Thursday) at 6 am.
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) announced that repairs on the Manjeera Phase-2 main pipeline are necessary following extensive leakages.
Scheduled repairs
The 1,500 mm diameter PSC pumping main, running from Kalabur to Haider Nagar, has developed significant leakages in multiple locations.
Areas likely to face water supply disruption
During this period, residents in the following areas may face low-pressure supply or temporary water shortages:
O&M Division 17: RC Puram, Ashok Nagar, Jyoti Nagar, Lingampally, Chandanagar, Gangaram, Madeenaguda, Miyapur
O&M Division 22: Beeranguda, Ameenpur
Transmission Division 2: Off-take points and bulk connections
O&M Division 6: Erragadda, SR Nagar, Ameerpet
O&M Division 9: KPHB Colony, Kukatpally, Bhagyanagar Colony, Pragathi Nagar
Advisory to residents
Authorities have requested residents in the affected areas to use water judiciously during the repair period to minimise inconvenience.
