Hyderabad: TGNAB raids Xora Pub & Kitchen at Jubilee Hills; 4 test positive for drugs, held

On Sunday night, multiple raids were conducted on various pubs in the city, after receiving information about the use of drugs.
During a raid at Xora Pub & Kitchen in Jubilee Hills, four persons tested positive for drugs. They were taken into custody. Sources said they are being questioned about the man who supplied drugs.
Raids were also conducted in Olive Bistro pub in Durgam Cheruvu. However, no traces of drugs were found.
More details on the raids are to be disclosed by the officials.
It may be recalled that two weeks ago, the teams raided 'The Cave Pubā. Twenty-four people had tested positive for drugs. All of them were immediately arrested.
After receiving information that an event by the name of 'Psychedelic Party' was being held that encouraged drug enthusiasts to indulge in narcotics and psychotropic drugs, the police conducted a raid on the pub.
During a recent review meeting, CM Revanth Reddy asked the top police officers to crack the whip against drugs and cyber crimes.
He asked the police, excise, and TGNAB officers to coordinate and work in tandem to curb the narcotic drug menace. He told the police to focus more on the suspected foreigners and find out why they were visiting the state.
This has become important in the wake of increasing arrests of foreign nationals in drug cases.
