Hyderabad: TSRTC restores Moulali Kaman route after 10 years: 50,000 people to benefit

Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has restored the number 3 Kushaiguda-Afzal Ganj route.

The Moulali Kaman route was shut down 10 years ago, and buses were rerouted through the Moulali Housing Board Colony. However, due to increasing traffic on that route, TSRTC has decided to restore the original route via Moulali Kaman.

The number 3 route bus will go from Kushaiguda to Afzal Ganj via ECIL Cross Road, SP Nagar, Moulali Kaman, ZTS, Lalapet, Tarnaka, Shankar Mutt, Koti, CBS.

Buses will be available every 20 minutes for passengers on this route. TSRTC encourages passengers on the Kushaiguda-Afzal Ganj route to use this new service. The service will be operated by 4 metro express and 4 city ordinary buses.

Thota Srinivas, Deputy Reginal Manager, TSRTC, Hyderabad said, “We have restored 8 buses that used to ply via Moulali Kaman, a narrow junction that was closed for a decade due to its narrowness and prevention of the entry of heavy vehicles. The road to ECIL and Tarnaka has been widened by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), making it possible for buses to pass through the junction again.”

“This will benefit the 50,000 people who live in the area. They have been deprived of this service for the past 10 years. Previously, people had to travel to Housing Board Colony or the Coca-Cola company to board a bus. Now, they can simply board a bus at Moulali Kaman and travel directly to ECIL or Afzal Gunj.”

The restoration of these buses is a welcome move for the people of Moulali and the surrounding areas. It will make it easier for them to travel to work, school, and other destinations. It will also help to reduce traffic congestion in the area.

Kushaiguda to Afzalgunj:

First bus: 5:00 am

Last bus: 8:15 pm

Frequency: 20 minutes

Afzalgunj to Kushaiguda:

First bus: 6:10 am

Last bus: 9:30 pm

Frequency: 20 minutes
