Hyderabad: Two youths were arrested by Saifabad Police for performing dangerous bike stunts and filming social media reels near Lumbini Park and the Telangana Secretariat, creating panic among commuters and posing serious safety risks in a high-security zone.

Stunts for social media, risk to public safety

According to police, the accused had been repeatedly performing reckless motorcycle stunts on busy public roads to gain traction on social media platforms.

Their actions not only disrupted traffic but also endangered the lives of pedestrians and motorists in the vicinity of key government establishments.



Accused identified

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

Mohammed Akeel (19), a courier boy from Bolakpur, Musheerabad

Mohammed Ateeq (22), a private employee from Aghapura, Nampally

Accused were recording stunt videos

Acting on a tip-off and after sustained surveillance, Saifabad Police conducted a targeted operation and apprehended the duo.

Their motorcycles and mobile phones, which were used to record the stunt videos, were seized as evidence. The accused were later produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.

Warning from police

Police officials reiterated that strict action will be taken against individuals indulging in hazardous activities on public roads.

They emphasised that such acts not only violate traffic laws but also put innocent lives at risk, especially in sensitive zones like the Secretariat area.
