Hyderabad’s HHF raises Rs 24 crore to support healthcare, social welfare programs
Hyderabad: The Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) has announced that it mobilised Rs 24 crores in 2024 to support healthcare and social welfare initiatives in Hyderabad. The funds, raised in collaboration with partner charities and donors, were utilised to reduce healthcare inequities and provide essential medical services to marginalised communities, the NGO said in a public statement.
Health Minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha released HHF’s Annual Performance Report 2024, highlighting the impact of these contributions.
Two million beneficiaries and Rs 100 crore in savings
According to the report, HHF’s interventions reached 2 million people through medical aid, diagnostic services and social support programs. The organisation estimates that these efforts saved Rs 100 crores in out-of-pocket medical expenses for low-income families, preventing financial distress caused by healthcare costs.
Government-community collaboration in healthcare
During the report launch, Rajanarasimha acknowledged HHF’s role in strengthening the public healthcare system and emphasised the need for continued collaboration between the government and NGOs to improve healthcare accessibility.
Expanding healthcare access in 2025
With rising healthcare costs, HHF said it aims to expand its services, strengthen community outreach and improve access to medical aid for underserved populations. The organisation said it remains committed to ensuring that financial limitations do not prevent individuals from receiving quality healthcare.
