Hyderabad’s historic Numaish set to open on Jan 1

Hyderabad: The city’s iconic All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish) returns with its 85th edition, reaffirming its status as Hyderabad’s longest-running and most popular annual fair.

Organised by the Exhibition Society, the exhibition will be inaugurated on January 1, 2026, and will remain open to the public till February 15 at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Minister for Roads & Buildings and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, will be the guests of Honour at the inaugural function. The Chief Guest will be announced shortly.




Timings and entry fee

The exhibition will be open daily from 4 pm to 10:30 pm on working days, while on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, it will remain open till 11:00 pm. Entry tickets are priced at Rs 50 per person, with free entry for children below five years of age.

Large-scale security and volunteer deployment

To ensure safety and smooth conduct, the organisers have constituted 34 sub-committees to oversee various aspects of the event.

As many as 106 security personnel will be deployed at all entry gates to prevent prohibited items such as cigarettes, gutka, lighters and arms from being carried inside.

In addition, 320 volunteers will be on duty, including 138 day volunteers to assist women and senior citizens and 76 night volunteers to protect stallholders’ property.

Comprehensive fire safety arrangements

The Exhibition Grounds are equipped with two underground water sumps of 1.5 lakh litres each, connected to 82 fire hydrants maintained at constant pressure.

A team of 45 trained volunteers will continuously monitor fire safety systems, while the Fire Department will station two fire engines of 10,000-litre capacity on the premises throughout the exhibition period.

Over 1,000 exhibitors, strong demand for stalls

The organisers reported an overwhelming response from exhibitors this year.

Around 1,050 manufacturers and artisans from across India and Telangana will participate, showcasing a wide range of products. Nearly 20 food stalls offering diverse cuisines will add to the fair’s attraction.

Several government departments will also participate, including the Reserve Bank of India, Forest Department, Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Telangana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation, Hyderabad Police, MEPMA, LIC of India, Tourism, Education Department and the Pollution Control Board.

Metro, RTC connectivity and parking facilities

The Exhibition Grounds are well connected by Hyderabad Metro Rail, with Gandhi Bhavan and Nampally Metro stations nearby. Metro services will run with increased frequency and extended hours to match exhibition timings. The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will also operate special buses.

Free parking for two-wheelers and four-wheelers has been arranged at Gruha Kalpa, Chandra Vihar, Gagan Vihar and Bhimrao Vada, while a paid automated multi-level parking facility is available near Handloom House, close to Gate No.1.

Medical and emergency services

A Health check-up centre, in collaboration with the Yashoda Group of Hospitals, will offer affordable medical services.

An eye Hospital will also function on-site in association with Lions International. An ambulance will be stationed at the venue round-the-clock.

Women entrepreneurs in focus

In line with its long-standing commitment to social inclusion, the Exhibition Society has given priority to women entrepreneurs in stall allotment, enabling them to showcase and market their products.

The Exhibition Society manages 19 educational institutions across Telangana and a charitable dispensary, providing affordable education to nearly 30,000 students.

Its activities generate direct and indirect employment for about 10,000 people every year, while offering nearly 1,000 small and medium enterprises an opportunity to sustain their business for the year.

In 2024–25, the Society contributed around Rs 10 crore to government revenue through GST, licence fees, property tax and utility charges.

Eight decades of legacy

Over the past eight decades, the annual Numaish has evolved into a must-visit event for citizens of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, offering shopping, entertainment and culinary delights at affordable prices. It continues to serve as a platform for cultural exchange and communal harmony.

The organisers said foolproof arrangements have been made to ensure a safe and pleasant experience.
