Hyderabad's most wanted gangster, accused in killing of IPS officer KS Vyas arrested

Police said Sheshanna was first arrested in the TADA Case in 1993. He was later detained on a PT warrant in IPS officer KS Vyas's murder case. He was sent to jail in the same year.

Police achieved a major success when they arrested one of the most wanted gangsters who was involved in the killing of IPS officer KS Vyas.

Identified as Muddunuri Sheshaiah alias Sheshanna alias Peddanna, he was arrested during vehicle checking at Shaikpet X Roads in Golconda.

Police said a Naka was established by Golconda Additional lnspectorMattam Raju and his team at Shaikpet X Roads. During vehicle checking, they stopped Mahindra SUV with a suspicious person on board. During questioning, he identified himself as Muddunuri Sheshaiah.

During the search, police recovered a country-made 9mm pistol with five live rounds, one Samsung Galaxy A51, and one Samsung Z fold 2 5G SM-F916B. Police also seized his Mahindra SUV.

Police said Sheshanna was first arrested in the TADA Case in 1993. He was later detained on a PT warrant in IPS officer KS Vyas's murder case. He was sent to jail in the same year.

"During his incarceration, he met Nayeemuddin and his associates and maintained good relations with him. He also executed plans hatched by Nayeemuddin. He committed murders in various places and was arrested in some cases," said Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone, Hyderabad.

Some of the cases in which he was involved included the murder of Vadthya Ramulu in Kurnool. He was also involved in the killing of government teacher Kanaka Chary, Patolla Goverdhan Reddy, Sridhar Reddy, Srinivasa Rao, and others. He was also involved in arms supply to Maoists and others

Police said the accused is a college dropout with two wives. Police said he joined Naxals after Class X and later become a close associate of gangster Nayeemuddin

"While he was in class 10, he was influenced by Naxal activities and worked with many commanders including Ekkanti Seetharam Reddy alias Naganna, Madavanna, Mallanna, and main Dalam leader Sudershan Reddy. He also worked for Naganna as a Den keeper. He also worked with District Committee Secretary Srisailam, Shakamuri Apparao, Modem Balakrishna, Srisailam, Nallamalla Deputy Commander Ganganna, Rama Krishna, Maoist courier Perumala Chennakeshava, Dala Commander Rajasekhar, Patel Sudhakar Reddy, Varikuppala Yadagiri, Tirupathi Balaiah," police said.
