HYDRAA orders Jayabheri Group to remove fencing near Rangalal Kunta Pond

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has directed Jayabheri Constructions, owned by former TDP MP and actor Murali Mohan to clear encroachments from the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zone of Rangalal Kunta Pond situated in the Gachibowli Financial District.

On Saturday, HYDRAA commissioner AV Ranganath visited Rangalal Kunta Pond and ordered the removal of sheets erected by Jayabheri Constructions in the FTL/buffer zone following a complaint lodged by local residents regarding the encroachments.

After inspecting the lake, Ranganath gave a fortnight to Jayabheri Constructions to demolish the blue sheet walls, failing which the HYDRAA officials would carry out the demolition themselves.

ā€œThe Jayabheri Group has erected fencing in the FTL of the abutting Cheruvu (at Nanakramguda). Based on a complaint, we visited the spot. I asked them to remove the fencing and erect it in their area. They agreed to complete it in a week. Failing which, the HYDRAA will have to remove it,ā€ the HYDRAA commissioner said.

Will demolish shed ourselves by Tuesday, says Murali Mohan

Reacting to HYDRAAā€™s directions, Murali Mohan said, ā€œI have been in the real estate sector for 33 years. I did not commit any illegalities over the years. The officials said that they had found a shed up to 3 feet in the buffer zone. There is no need for the HYDRAA officials to come for its demolition. We will demolish that shed on our own by Tuesday evening.ā€
