HYDRAA razes unauthorized mini hall, kitchen, restrooms adjacent to Sandhya Convention Center in Gachibowli

Hyderabad: Intensifying anti-encroachment drive, HYDRAA razed many illegal structures in the premises of Fertilizers Corporation of India Employees' Cooperative Housing Society at Gachibowli.

This comes after the HYDRAA received complaints during Prajavani on April 28. In the complaint, a housing society member has claimed that S Sridhar Rao had removed the roads and parks from the layout blueprints of 162 plots and raised sheds that were being utilized for commercial purposes.

The enforcement team demolished the mini-hall adjacent to the Sandhya Convention Center owned by Sridhar Rao, along with attached kitchens and restrooms. Tin sheet fencing and three G+2 iron sheds that had been illegally constructed were also brought down.

Plot owners raised serious concerns, alleging that their plots were completely covered up by encroachments, making them inaccessible and invisible. Multiple complaints have been filed regarding construction that extends onto public roads.

According to HYDRAA officials, several constructions were found to violate municipal norms, including buildings erected without proper approvals. Roads and parks within the layout were encroached upon, and structures were built without leaving space for basic infrastructure.

HYDRAA vowed to continue strict action against all illegal encroachments to ensure adherence to city planning regulations.
