HYDRAA reclaims 15 acres of govt land in Gajularamaram; frees 5 acres grabbed by KL University
Hyderabad: HYDRAA has reclaimed 15 acres of government land in the Gajularamaram village of Quthbullapur Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
The encroachments were cleared in survey number 354. Among the occupied areas was 5 acres of land allegedly encroached upon by KL (deemed to be) University.
According to HYDRAA officials, originally, this land was allotted by the state government in 2009 for the construction of Rajiv Swagruha housing projects. As no construction took place, local influential individuals turned their attention to the land, constructed boundary walls and sheds, and encroached upon it.
Complaints were received from residents through the HYDRA Prajavani platform regarding the large-scale encroachments with illegal boundary walls on government land. Upon receiving the complaints, HYDRA officials conducted a field inspection and survey, confirmed it as government land, and submitted a report to HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath.
After inspecting the site, Ranganath instructed officials to immediately remove the encroachments and erect boards identifying it as government land. Following these instructions, the encroachments were demolished, fencing was installed, and sign boards were put up indicating it was protected government land.
Meanwhile, the HYDRAA also carried out demolitions in Katedan, removing structures that had encroached upon roads in the Indira Society colony. Attempts to illegally occupy plots and roads in layouts were prevented.
