HYDRAA reclaims 4 acres of Telangana Agros in Mallapur, forged papers used to carve illegal plots

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has reclaimed and secured over four acres of Telangana Agros Industries Development Corporation land at Mallapur-Nacharam in the Medchal–Malkajgiri district, preventing further illegal occupation.

23.28 acres originally allotted to Telangana Agros

The State government had originally allotted 23.28 acres in Survey Nos. 29/1 and 30 to Telangana Agros at Moula Ali-Nacharam village.

Over the years, parts of this land bordering Durga Nagar, Kamala Bai Nagar and Baba Nagar colonies came under gradual encroachment, with nearly four acres illegally occupied.

Following repeated encroachments, Telangana Agros Chairman Kasula Balaraju lodged a formal complaint with HYDRAA, seeking protection of the corporation’s property.

Land secured using fencing and compound walls

Acting on the directions of HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath, officials conducted a field-level inspection and initiated eviction operations.

While existing residential houses were not disturbed, HYDRAA removed illegal temporary sheds, unauthorised scrap yards, structures used for waste segregation and commercial rental sheds operating unlawfully.

The reclaimed land has now been secured with precast fencing and compound walls to prevent further intrusions.

Forged documents, illegal plot sales uncovered

Officials disclosed that a woman identified as Lavanya allegedly used forged documents to carve out and sell over two acres as residential plots.

Cases were registered against her at the Nacharam Police Station and she was subsequently arrested. In a separate case, a Telangana Agros employee named Raju is accused of being involved in the illegal occupation of 1,200 square yards.

Over 2,000 square yards encroached for rental income

Another individual, Mahender, allegedly encroached upon more than 2,000 square yards of the area. He is said to have developed the land into small plots, erected sheds and leased them out for rent, earning lakhs of rupees illegally.

Agros officials confirmed that notices have been issued to all those involved.

No action against residential structures: HYDRAA

HYDRAA officials clarified that no residential colonies in the Mallapur division were affected, and action was strictly limited to illegal commercial structures and encroached Agros land.
