Park reserved in 1979 layout targeted by encroachers
Sai Ganesh Nagar was laid out in 1979 with 176 residential plots, along with a designated open space earmarked exclusively for a park. In recent weeks, a few individuals began constructing an illegal room and a boundary wall on the reserved land.
When locals questioned the activity, the encroachers allegedly threatened them, sparking fear and concern in the colony.

Residents seek help; HYDRAA verifies encroachment
Following complaints from the residents, HYDRAA officials conducted an on-site inspection. They identified a small room, a partial wall, and other unauthorised structures on the park land.
During scrutiny of the documents presented by those claiming ownership, officials concluded that the papers were not registered with the Sub-Registrar’s office and had no legal standing. The construction was declared completely illegal.
Illegal structures demolished, park land restored
Acting swiftly, HYDRAA personnel demolished the encroaching structures and cleared the land. Colony residents expressed gratitude to HYDRAA for safeguarding the park space and preventing further illegal occupation.
