IMD forecasts light to moderate rain in parts of Telangana
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places on January 12.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 10 Jan 2022 5:38 AM GMTIndian Meteorological Department has forecast light to moderate rain or Thundershowers at isolated places in Adilabad, Komarambheem-Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Jagityal districts of Telangana on January 10 and 11.
Issuing a yellow alert, IMD said heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet districts of Telangana on January 12. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in a few districts of Telangana on January 12.
According to Telangana State Development Planning Society, State average cumulative rainfall from 1st June 2021 to 9th January 2022 was 1102.6 mm against the normal of 848.9 mm with a deviation 30%. The average cumulative rainfall in GHMC from 1st June 2021 to 9th January 2022 was 877.4 mm against the normal of 718.4 mm with a deviation of 22.1 %.
Minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 16 degree C and 19 degree C, while the maximum temperatures to be in the range of 27 degree C and 30 degree C in state. Minimum temperatures are expected to be in the range of 17 degree C and 19 degree C, while the maximum temperatures will be in the range of 28 degree C and 30 degree C in GHMC.
