Hyderabad: The city recorded a minimum temperature of 22°C in recent days, with the maximum expected to touch 27°C. The daytime temperature is likely to hover around 25°C. Winds are blowing at 5.28 km/h, with gusts of 8.94 km/h.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cloudy skies with light drizzle and misty conditions during morning hours are expected across all major zones of Hyderabad over the next five days.

Air quality remains moderate

The Air Quality Index (AQI) in areas like Secunderabad and Somajiguda stands at 81 (PM10), categorizing it as ‘Moderate,’ according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR-India). Experts suggest that while the air quality is satisfactory for most individuals, those with respiratory issues should exercise caution.

An AQI below 50 is considered ‘Good,’ while levels between 50 and 100 are ‘Satisfactory.’ The ‘Moderate’ range spans from 100 to 200, with potential risks for sensitive groups.

Weekly forecast shows stable temperatures

The minimum temperature is expected to remain steady at 22°C from Monday through Friday, with a slight dip to 21°C on Saturday and Sunday.

Precautionary measures for residents

While the impact of sudden rain is expected to remain minimal, residents are advised to remain cautious, particularly on slippery roads. The IMD suggests that municipal corporations monitor low-lying areas and address water pooling if needed.

T Balaji, popularly known as Telangana weatherman on X, stated, “The city is expected to see cloudy skies with misty mornings and occasional light rain for the next few days. Disruptions are unlikely.”

Citizens are encouraged to plan their activities accordingly while staying updated with daily forecasts.
