Indian Racing League: Take note of these traffic diversions for 9-11 Dec

By Newsmeter Network Published on 7 Dec 2022 10:30 AM GMTHyderabad: Hyderabad is set to host the final round of the Indian Racing League (IRL) on 10 and 11 December at NTR Marg. In view of this, the city traffic police have announced diversions from 9 to 11 December.
The race will commence from IMAX (Necklace Road) Rotary to Telugu Thalli junction to New Secretariat to NTR Garden to Mint Compound–IMAX. Commuters are advised to take note of the following traffic diversions and dates and timings:
· The traffic coming from VV statue (Khairatabad) towards Khairatabad flyover will not be allowed towards Necklace Road Imax Rotary and will be diverted at VV statue (Khairatabad) towards Shadan College–Ravindra Bharathi.
· The traffic coming from Buddha Bhavan/Nallagutta junction towards Necklace Road Imax Rotary will not be allowed towards Necklace Rotary and will be diverted at Nallagutta junction towards Ranigunj/Tank Bund.
· The traffic coming from Rasoolpura/Minister road towards Necklace Rotary via Nallagutta will not be allowed towards Necklace Rotary and will be diverted at Nallagutta junction towards Ranigunj.
· The traffic coming from Iqbal Minar junction intending to go towards Telugu Thalli junction and Tank Bund will not be allowed towards Telugu Thalli and should take Telugu Talli flyover towards Katta Maisamma temple/Lower Tank Bund. Alternatively, they can take a right turn at Iqbal Minar/Ravindra Bharathi and proceed towards Public Gardens junction–Basheerbagh–Liberty and go either towards BRK Bhavan or Tank Bund.
· The traffic coming from Tank Bund/Telugu Thalli towards Necklace Rotary will not be allowed and will be diverted at Telugu Thalli junction towards Iqbal Minar/Ravindra Bharathi junction.
· The traffic coming from BRKR Bhavan towards Necklace Rotary will not be allowed and will be diverted at Telugu Talli junction towards Iqbal Minar/Ravindra Bharathi junction.
· The traffic coming from Iqbal Minar junction towards Mint compound lane will not be allowed and will be diverted at Iqbal Minar junction towards Ravindra Bharathi junction.
· The traffic coming from Khairatabad Bada Ganesh lane towards Printing Press junction or Necklace Rotary will not be allowed and will be diverted at Bada Ganesh towards Rajdoot lane.
· Further, NTR Garden, NTR Ghat, Necklace Road, and Lumbini Park will be closed from 9 to 11 December for the Formula E-Racing.
The above restrictions may also be imposed on the night of 7 and 8 December on a need basis, the traffic police said. They have requested all citizens to take note of the diversions and take alternate routes to reach their destinations and cooperate with the Hyderabad traffic police.
Diversions for RTC buses
RTC buses coming from Afzalgunj towards Secunderabad will have to avoid the Tank Bund road and take Telugu Thalli flyover, Katta Maisamma, Lower Tank Bund, DBR Mills, and Kavadiguda. Alternatively, they can take a right turn at Iqbal Minar/Ravindra Bharathi and proceed towards Public Gardens junction–Basheerbagh–Liberty and go towards Tank Bund.
Traffic congestion junctions
From 9 to 11 December, the following junctions will be congested due to traffic diversions and commuters are advised to avoid them: VV statue (Khairatabad) junction, Old Saifabad PS junction (Lakdikapul), Ravindra Bharathi junction, Mint Compound Road, Telugu Thalli junction, Necklace Rotary, Nalla Gutta Junction, Katta Maisamma (Lower Tank Bund), Tank Bund, Nampally, NMDC, and Masab Tank.
