HCA spends Rs 5 Cr on renovating RGI Cricket Stadium.
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has spent 5 crore on renovating the Uppal stadium ahead of the IPL Season.
āThe entire stadium has been painted, new rest rooms are being constructed in the North Stands, and ACs and tiles are being changed in the cricketers' dressing rooms and corporate boxes. Rajiv Gandhi International (RGI) Cricket Stadium, Uppal, is all set to host nine matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The eighteenth edition of IPL will kick off on March 22, 2025.

The RGI stadium, which can house 35,000 spectators with 59 corporate boxes, will host seven league matches and two extras, including the qualifier and eliminator in IPL 2025. The home team, SunRisers Hyderabad, will play its first match of this season against Rajasthan Royals at Uppal on March 23.
Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) President Arshanapalli Jagan Mohan Rao said that the arrangements for the IPL-18 are going on at a fast pace. It includes deep cleaning of seating areas and ensuring a pristine environment for all attendees. The washrooms and corporate boxes were upgraded, enhancing comfort and luxury.

Elaborating, Jagan Mohan said that beautification works were done in the entire stadium to present a refreshed and vibrant look. A brand-new hospitality lounge was also ready to offer an elite experience for our distinguished guests, he said.
All the renovation works would be completed before March 20, he said.
For this IPL, the HCA took particular note of social media posts about dingy restrooms in the stadium. The HCA renovated the restrooms, corporate boxes, canapes, lighting, seating, common area cleaning, and gates. Efforts are being taken to transform Hyderabad into the best venue in the country to host the IPL games and provide a better experience to cricket lovers, the President Added.
