Jagtial: A liquor āfanā from Jagtial district on Monday complained about the non-availability of one of the liquor brands, Kingfisher beer, in his town during the Prajavani program.
B. Rajesh of Jagtial district submitted a petition and also discussed the problem on Prajavani, a public radio show that was aired in his village.
According to Rajesh, people in his town are allegedly consuming cheap liquor and are suffering from health issues. āThis might be funny but many youth and daily wage workers face the threat of health issues due to uric acid from cheap local brewers run by syndicates. The officials have responded positively to the complaint,ā said Rajesh in a video.
According to Rajesh, one of the famous Kingfisher beers is not available in Jagtial but is available in the nearby areas of Koratla and Dharmapuri. In the video, he also alleged that with the syndicate, there has been an increase in unlicensed liquor (belt shops) in Jagtial.
