Hyderabad: Veteran Telugu film actor Dr M Mohan Babu and his younger son Manchu Manoj appeared before Ranga Reddy District Magistrate for an inquiry at Integrated District Offices Complex, Kongarakalan in connection with property disputes on Monday.

Addl collector orders Manoj to appear for an inquiry next week
After hearing the arguments from Mohan Babu and his son, the Additional collector ordered Manoj to appear for an inquiry next week. Sources revealed that there was a heated argument between Mohan Babu and Manoj in front of the revenue officials. To avoid further issues, the police escorted the duo through different exits.
However, after the inquiry, the duo did not speak to the media and left the Collectorate. On January 10, Mohan Babu filed a complaint with Ranga Reddy district Collector C Narayana Reddy, stating that Manchu Manoj unlawfully invaded his home in Jalpally village, Balapur mandal, and demanded a share of the property.
The veteran actor appealed to the Collector to vacate them and handover the property to him under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 in a complaint submitted through his representative.
In his complaint, Mohan Babu also claimed to be residing in Tirupati and requested the evacuation of the tenants, including Manoj, because the property was purchased with money he earned and Manoj could not claim it.
Reacting to his complaint, the collector asked the police department to submit a detailed report on the properties of Mohan Babu and also served notices to Manchu Manoj in this regard.
On January 19, Manoj appeared before the Collector regarding the ongoing dispute with his father, Mohan Babu, over a property in Jalpally. In December 2024, Mohan Babu and Manoj filed police complaints against each other, escalating a long-standing family feud.
No property disputes between in Manchu family
Manchu Manoj had previously clarified that there were no property disputes between his father and brothers. He accused that his elder brother Vishnu was making a drama because he opposed the injustice being done to the students in their educational institutions and trust.
"I don't understand how my father and elder brother are producing films with a budget of hundreds of crores of rupees, besides citing no money with them. I am fighting for family members, students and relatives and not for property," Manoj said.
