Jubilee Hills bypoll: CM Revanth calls BRS ‘B-team of BJP’, gives support to Yadav community
CM Revanth squarely targeted the BRS, labelling it the ‘B Team of BJP’ dedicated to vote-splitting

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy accused the BJP and BRS of engaging in ‘conspiracy politics’ in the Jubilee Hills election. In the meeting of the Sadar Samelan festival, he assured the Yadav community of his government’s steadfast support, both in welfare schemes and political opportunities.
BRS is ‘B team of BJP’
CM Revanth squarely targeted the BRS, labelling it the ‘B Team of BJP’ dedicated to vote-splitting. He specifically cited the ensuing Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election as the latest example of this alleged secret political strategy.
“The transfer of 21 per cent votes to the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections was enough to prove the BRS party’s conspiracy politics in the state,” the CM asserted. He warned that this ‘collusion politics’ would continue in the next assembly elections and appealed to the public to ‘foil the BRS attempt to split the votes’ in Jubilee Hills.
Support for Yadav community
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy assured the Yadav community of his government’s full support both in welfare schemes and political opportunities.
‘Yadavonka Khadar... Hyderabad Sadar’ is a popular proverb, the CM remarked, drawing a parallel between the community and traits of trust and reliance. He committed to addressing all their grievances and said he is ‘always available’ to meet with the community leaders.
The CM also recalled the pivotal role the community played in the formation and development of Telangana and highlighted that the people's government has declared Sadar Utsav as a state festival and provided necessary funds.
Empowerment of youth
During the commemoration of the Sadbhavana Yatra, Chief Minister Reddy passionately advocated for greater youth participation in active politics.
He emphasised that an amendment of the Indian Constitution to reduce the age limit to 21 years to contest in the assembly election is the ‘need of the hour.’ The CM lauded former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi for providing adult franchise at 18 years of age, which he said strengthened the parliamentary democratic spirit.
Salman Khurshid awarded
The chief minister congratulated the organisers for presenting the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Award to Salman Khurshid and paid tribute to the Gandhi family, stating, “The three generations of the Gandhi family were a big inspiration to the country,” recalling the sacrifices of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, and praising Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra.’
