Further, he informed the court that 71 cheques of the beneficiaries have already been sent to the respective banks and the validity of the cheques ends in August, not June 27, as contended by the counsel for the petitioner Padi Kaushik Reddy, MLA Huzurabad Assembly Constituency.
Moreover, not a single cheque will get lapsed and the State will ensure that all eligible beneficiaries will get the financial benefit as stated in the 2 GOs issued by the State Government.
The addl. AG informed the judge that eligible beneficiaries, who will be at a loss due to the non-disbursal of the cheques, cited due to non-issuance of the cheques, are not before the court and this issue of non-issuance of the cheques to the eligible beneficiaries has been raked up just to gain political mileage.
In addition, there is no truth in the contention of the petitioner MLA Huzurabad Padi Kaushik Reddy, who had contended that the revenue officials are not making arrangements for the disbursal of the above cheques and said cheques would expire tomorrow (June 27) which is false, contended addl. AG Imran Khan.
State asks for two weeks to submit full details
Further, Imran Khan sought two weeks to file its detailed counter furnishing all details pertaining to the disbursal of the cheques to the eligible beneficiaries of Shaadi Mubarak and Kalyana Laxmi schemes.
The judge was adjudicating a petition filed by Padi Kaushik Reddy, MLA, BRS party from Huzurabad Assembly Constituency, aggrieved by the action of the revenue officials in not permitting him from distributing the cheques for an amount of Rs 1,00,116 of the Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes to the eligible beneficiaries in his Assembly Constituency.
