Khairatabad Bada Ganesh installation: Police issue traffic advisory from Aug 27 to Sep 1; check details

Hyderabad: In view of the upcoming Khairatabad Bada Ganesh installation, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced a series of traffic diversions to ease vehicular movement and facilitate devotees.

The restrictions will be in place from August 27 to September 6, every day from 11 a.m. till late at night, depending on the crowd of visitors.

Traffic Diversions

Vehicles coming from VV Statue towards Mint Compound via Rajeev Gandhi Statue will be diverted towards Nirankari Junction.

Vehicles from Old PS Saifabad towards Bada Ganesh via Rajdoot lane will be diverted towards Iqbal Minar.

Vehicles from Iqbal Minar towards IMAX Theatre via Mint Compound will be diverted at Secretariat Temple X Road towards Telugu Thalli Junction.

Vehicles from Necklace Rotary towards Mint Compound will be diverted towards Telugu Thalli Junction or Khairatabad flyover.

Vehicles from Nirankari via Khairatabad Post Office lane towards Khairatabad Railway Gate will be diverted towards Old PS Saifabad Junction.

Congestion-Prone Junctions

Traffic police have cautioned that congestion is expected at Khairatabad, Shadan College, Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad, Mint Compound, and Necklace Rotary due to the heavy influx of devotees. Commuters are advised to avoid these stretches and plan alternative routes.

Parking Arrangements

Visitors from Necklace Rotary and NTR Garden side can park at Race Road, NTR Ghat, HMDA parking beside IMAX Theatre, open space opposite IMAX Theatre, and Saraswathi Vidya Mandir High School premises.

Visitors from Khairatabad Junction side can park at Vishveshwaraiah Bhavan.

Public Transport & Carpooling Appeal

Authorities have urged devotees to make use of Metro Rail, MMTS, and RTC buses instead of private vehicles. Those visiting from the same locality have been encouraged to carpool to reduce congestion.

In case of emergencies during travel, commuters can seek assistance by contacting the Traffic Helpline at 9010203626. The police have appealed to the public to extend full cooperation by following the traffic advisory.
