KTR inaugurates 2BHK dignity houses in Baghlingampally

Hyderabad: Telangana minister for municipal administration and urban development department (MAUD) K.T Rama Rao inaugurated 2BKH 'dignity houses' at Lambadi thanda in Baghlingampally here on 9 January. He also inaugurated a sports complex at Adikmet.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said Telangana is the only state in the country to construct 2,72,000 2BHK dignity houses for the poor at a cost of Rs. 18,000 crores. In the GHMC area alone one lakh 2BHK houses are being built at a cost of Rs. 9,714 crores, he said, adding 126 2BHK houses will be constructed in the Lambada Basthi at a cost of Rs. 10.90 crores.

KTR said these houses will be given to the poor so that they can live with dignity. The houses will be equipped with various facilities and each flat will be built at a cost of Rs. 9 lakhs. The minister appealed to the beneficiaries to keep the premises neat and clean and not throw garbage on roads and nalas. He also requested them not to sell or let-out their flats to others.
