Warangal: Industries and commerce minister KT Rama Rao broke ground for 11 Youngone Corporation factories on Saturday at Kakatiya Mega Textile Park (KMTP) in Warangal.

In his speech after the ceremony, the IT minister said, “The Youngone factories at KMTP will create employment opportunities for approximately 21,000 individuals. The first phase will witness the establishment of four factories, employing nearly 6,000 people, with seven more factories planned for subsequent phases. These manufacturing units will specialise in sportswear manufacturing, knitting, textiles, dyeing and finishing, and poly products.”

Youngone Corporation, a renowned global manufacturer of outdoor and athletic clothing, textiles, footwear, and gear, was founded in 1974. The corporation has a rich history of innovation, partnership, and trust.

Assuring jobs to locals, KTR said, “The majority of jobs at these factories will be reserved for local residents, especially women. In addition, transportation facilities will be provided for women and a daycare centre for their children. The factories will be certified to international standards, and the garments produced in Telangana will be exported to America, Europe, and other countries.”

Addressing the importance of India’s growth in the textile sector, the minister said, “Reforms in this industry will have a positive impact on employment, provide support to farmers through assured Minimum Support Price (MSP), and increase the state’s revenue.”

He added, “The establishment of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park marks a significant step in fostering the growth of the textile sector and generating substantial employment opportunities.”
