Fourteen new bridges will be constructed on the Musi River. These bridges will improve connectivity between different parts of the city and reduce traffic congestion.

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao inaugurated the Narsingi Interchange on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) on Saturday morning.

The interchange was constructed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) at a cost of Rs 29.50 crore.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, KT Rama Rao said, “The ORR is a vital infrastructure for the rapidly developing city of Hyderabad. We are committed to providing better connectivity and infrastructure to the city. More interchanges will be constructed on the ORR in the coming years.”




KT Rama Rao also announced that the metro train will be extended to BHEL and Kandukur in the near future.

In a recent visit to Delhi, KT Rama Rao requested the central government to give half an acre of Defense Department land for the construction of the Mehdipatnam Skywalk. He said, “The skywalk will be a major convenience for the citizens of Hyderabad.”

He further said, “The government is firmly dedicated to the development of Hyderabad. The city is poised for a significant transformation, and we are witnessing the beginning of an era of unparalleled growth in the coming years.” The Narsingi Interchange is a significant development for Hyderabad. It will help to improve the connectivity between the IT hub and the rest of the city. It will also help to reduce traffic congestion in the area.

The minister’s announcements were welcomed by the people of Hyderabad, who are eager to see the city continue to grow and develop. The new interchange will help to improve traffic flow in the area, while the other developments will provide much-needed infrastructure and amenities for the city’s residents.

KTR has also announced some of the other major developments in the state.

“Unfortunately, the Musi beautification project in Hyderabad was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, we are looking into options for two Musi River development projects. To alleviate traffic congestion in Hyderabad, we will build a 55-km-long motorway on the Musi River between Narsingi and Nagole at the cost of Rs 10,000 crore. The state government is committed to starting the proposed projects as soon as possible," said KT Rama Rao.

Construction of 14 new bridges on the Musi River: Fourteen new bridges will be constructed on the Musi River. These bridges will improve connectivity between different parts of the city and reduce traffic congestion. The final tender process for five bridges has been completed and the works will begin soon.

Expansion of service roads between Narsingi and Kolluru: The service roads between Narsingi and Kolluru will be expanded to meet the increasing traffic demand. This will help to reduce congestion in the area and improve traffic flow.

Increase in the speed limit on the ORR: The speed limit on the ORR will be increased from 100 kmph to 120 kmph. This will allow motorists to travel more quickly and efficiently on the ORR.

Development of a 55-km-long motorway on the Musi River: A 55-km-long motorway will be developed on the Musi River between Narsingi and Nagole. This motorway will provide a major new transportation corridor for the city and help decongest the ORR.

Expansion of the metro rail network: The metro rail network will be expanded to other sections of Hyderabad, including a new link between BHEL and Maheshwaram. This will provide more public transportation options for residents of the city and help to reduce traffic congestion.

Construction of a first-of-its-kind solar-roof cycling track: A first-of-its-kind solar-roof cycling track will be constructed between Nanakramguda and TSPA Circle and Narsingi and Kollur. This cycling track will provide a safe and convenient place for people to ride their bikes and enjoy the outdoors.
