Hyderabad: The Right-Hand Side (RHS) of the LB Nagar underpass and Left Hand Side (LHS) of the Bairamalguda flyover will be thrown open on Wednesday.
Minister for Urban Development, IT, and Industries KT Rama Rao will inaugurate the project.
The project has been taken up under State Road Development Program (SRDP). Under the SRDP, flyovers, major corridors, grade separators, and underpass structures will be built to improve transport facilities and make Hyderabad a signal-free city.
The LB Nagar intersection is the most important part of the city as it acts as an entry and exit point for those traveling into Hyderabad from other cities. The construction of the underpass and flyover will help in easing traffic congestion for vehicles that are traveling from Warangal and Nalgonda.
The LB Nagar Underpass (RHS) is a 490-meter-long, 12.875 meters wide underpass. It has been constructed at a cost of Rs 40 crores. A three-lane unidirectional box portion which is 72.50-meter-wide has also been constructed.
On the other hand, the Bairamalguda flyover was constructed at a cost of about Rs 29 crore.
