LS polls: BJP candidate from Hyderabad Madhavi Latha gets Y-plus security
Under Y+ security, a person gets 11 security personnel. They include 6 CRPF PSOs and 5 armed guards at the residence

Kompella Madhavi Latha is a BJP candidate from Hyderabad, while Sita Soren is contesting from Dhumka parliamentary constituency in Jharkhand.
For the last three days, CRPF security personnel have been escorting the candidates.
The security has been given after reviewing the threat perception.
Under Y+ security, a person gets 11 security personnel. They include 6 CRPF PSOs and 5 armed guards at the residence. It also comprises two personal security officers (PSOs). Many VIPs in India have been given this level of security.
BJP candidate Madhavi Latha is contesting against sitting MP AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad. She was the face of the BJP's campaign against triple talaq and is the first female candidate to be fielded by the BJP in Hyderabad. Her announcement as a BJP candidate from the Hyderabad seat came even before she became an active member of the party.
A trained classical dancer, Madhavi Latha is the chairperson of Hyderabad's Virinchi Hospital. She is also a religious speaker.
On contesting against Owaisi, she said it is important to make voters aware of the reality "irrespective of the fear factor that he has spread around". She promised new roads, flyovers, metro rail, cleanliness, organized residential localities, schools, health and sports facilities in the constituency.
