Hyderabad: BJP Hyderabad candidate Madhavi Latha has declared assets worth Rs 224.24 Crore (2,242,649,334).

The assets include those of a spouse and three dependents.

She is contesting against sitting MP AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad. Latha was the face of the BJP's campaign against triple talaq. She is the first female candidate to be fielded by the BJP in Hyderabad.

As per her affidavit, her income is Rs 3,76,950. Her spouse’s income is Rs 2,82,62,737.

Madhavi's Movable assets are worth Rs 31,31,01,083 and her spouse is Rs 88,31,18,127.

Madhavi has shares worth Rs 25,20,51,858 in Virinchi Limited, Vivo Biotech Limited, and Gajwel Developers, PKI Solutions, Vira Systems, and Shri Shri Resorts.

Her immovable assets are at Rs 6,32,67,100 and her spouse is Rs 49,59,66,658 which includes lands in of lands and buildings in Shaikpet, Alwal, and East Marredpally.

She and her husband own Rs 4.6 crore worth of gold ornaments. Madhavi Latha possesses 3.9 kg of gold, while her husband owns 1.1 kg of gold.

They both have liabilities of around Rs 27 Cr.

Madhavi Latha has only one criminal case with Begumbazar police for allegedly shooting an imaginary arrow at a mosque in Siddi Amber Bazar during the Sri Rama Navami Shobhayatra procession.

Her rival candidate opposition Asaduddin Owaisi has declared family assets worth Rs 23.87 crore. He has also declared liabilities of Rs 7 crore. He possessed a pistol and a rifle, according to his affidavit filed on April 19.

The sitting Hyderabad MP has an LLB degree from London and has five criminal cases.

Telangana is going to the polls in the fourth phase on May 13.
