Maestro Ilayaraja's live concert in Hyd on Feb 26

Hyderabad: Maestro Ilayaraja, the popular legendary musician, is set to take the stage in Hyderabad on February 26, 2023 for a live concert experience.
The event is called 'Raja - Live in concert' and is going to take place in the Gachibowli Stadium on February 26 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Hyderabad Talkies and Mercuri are the organizers of the show. Hyderabad Talkies is known for its legacy events including A.R. Rahman in 2017 and Arijit Singh in 2019.

Ilayaraja took to Twitter on December 15, 2022, to announce his concert. "Get ready for an upcoming Concert "Raaja - Live in Telugu Concert" on February 4, 2023, at LB Stadium, Hyderabad," his tweet read. The video shows Ilayaraja singing some of his best songs Raja Rajadhi Raja from Gharshana (2012), Maate Manthram from Seethakoka Chilaka (1982), Aaskasam Eenatido from Neerakashana (1982), Enno Ratrulosthayi from Dharmakshetram (1992), and Thakita Thadhimi from Sagara Sangamam (1982).
Ilaiyaraaja is reputed to be one of the most prolific Indian composers, in a career comprising over forty-five years, he has composed over 7,000 songs and provided film scores for over 1,000 films, apart from performing in over 20,000 concerts. He is nicknamed "Isaignani" (the musical genius) and often referred to as "Maestro", the title conferred by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London.
