Mahankali Bonalu Jatara: Take note of these traffic diversions on 17 July

Hyderabad: In view of the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Bonalu Jatara at Secunderabad the Hyderabad traffic police have announced traffic diversions and parking arrangements that will be in effect from 4 a.m on 17 July till the completion of the jatara on 18 July.

The general public are requested to avoid the roads and junctions of Karbala maidan, Ranigunj, Old PS Ramgopalpet, Paradise, CTO, Plaza, SBI crossroad, YMCA crossroads, St. Johns Rotary, Sangeeth crossroad, Patny crossroad, Park Lane, Bata, Ghasmandi crossroads, Bible house, Ministers Road, and Rasoolpura from 4 a.m on 17 July till the completion of the jatara on 18 July.

Passengers intending to travel by trains from the Secunderabad railway station are requested to start early to reach the station on time. There will be traffic congestion while approaching the station from Platform No. 1. Hence, the public is requested to use the entry from platform no. 10 from Chilkalguda side. There will be traffic congestion within a 2 km radius from Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple, Secunderabad.

Take note of the diversions:

· The road leading to Mahankali temple from Tobacco Bazar, Hill Street, will be closed for all vehicular traffic.

· Subash Road starting from Bata crossroads up to old Ramgopalpet PS, Secunderabad, will be closed for all vehicular traffic.

· The road leading to Mahankali temple from Audaiah crossroads, Secunderabad, will be closed for all vehicular traffic.

· The road leading to Mahankali temple from General Bazar, Secunderabad, will be closed for all vehicular traffic.

Diversion points:

Ranigunj crossroads towards Secunderabad railway station

· General traffic and RTC buses coming from Karbala Maidan to Secunderabad railway station will be diverted at Ranigunj crossroads towards Minister Road – Rasoolpura crossroads – left turn – PNT flyover – HPS U-turn – CTO – SBI crossroads – YMCA crossroads – St. John's Rotary – Sangeeth – Gopalapuram Lane – railway station.

· RTC buses returning from the railway station towards Tank Bund will pass through Chilkalguda crossroad – Gandhi Hospital – Musheerabad crossroad – Kavadiguda – Marriot Hotel – Tank Bund.

· RTC buses returning from the railway station towards Tadban and Begumpet will pass through Clock Tower – Patny crossroads/YMCA crossroad – SBI crossroads.

Ghasmandi crossroads

· General traffic coming from Bible House going towards Secunderabad railway station, Trimulghery, will be diverted at Ghasmandi crossroads towards Sajjanlal Street, Secunderabad railway station, or Hill street, Ranigunj.

Patny crossroads

· General traffic coming from SBI crossroads towards Tank Bund will be diverted at Patny crossroads towards Paradise, Minister Road, or Clock Tower, Sangeeth crossroad – Secunderabad railway station – Chilkalguda – Musheerabad crossroad – Kavadiguda – Marriot Hotel – Tank Bund.

· General traffic coming from Paradise towards Bible House will be diverted at Patny crossroads towards SBI or Clock Tower.

· General traffic coming from Clock Tower towards RP Road will be diverted at Patny crossroads towards SBI crossroads or Paradise.

Paradise crossroads

· General traffic coming from CTO junction towards MG Road will be diverted at Paradise crossroads towards Sindhi Colony – right turn – Minister Road – left turn - Ranigunj crossroads – right turn – Karbala Maidan. Traffic coming from Patny crossroads will be diverted at Paradise crossroads towards CTO junction.

Towards/from Secunderabad railway station (for railway passengers)

· From Punjagutta to Secunderabad railway station take route from Panjagutta –Khairtabad junction – IMAX Rotary – Telugu thalli flyover – Lower Tank Bund – RTC crossroad – Musheerabad crossroad – Gandhi Hospital – Chilakalguda crossroad – Platform No. 10 entry to Secunderabad railway station and vice-versa.

· Secunderabad railway station – Old Gandhi crossroads – Monda Market – Ghasmandi – Bible House – Karbala Maidan – Tank Bund and vice-versa.

· Do not use roads from Secunderabad railway station to Patny – Paradise junction – Begumpet – Punjagutta as they will be congested.

To from Uppal towards Punjagutta

· Use road from Uppal – Ramanthapur – Amberpet – Himayathnagar – Khairtabad Junction – Punjagutta.

· Don't use road between Uppal – Tarnaka – Rail Nilayam – Sangeeth YMCA – Plaza – Begumpet – Panjagutta as it will be heavily congested.

The road between Secunderabad railway station towards St. Mary's Road/Clock Tower will be closed for all vehicular traffic.

All buses proceeding towards Secunderabad railway station from Hakeempet, Bowenpally, Balanagar and Ameerpet will be terminated at Clock Tower and they will return to their destinations on the same route, i.e., via Patny, SBI crossroad.

Parking places for devotees

· Vehicles coming from St. Johns Rotary, Sweekar Upkar, SBI side will park at

· Vehicles coming from Subhash Road side will park at Old jail khana open place.

· Vehicles coming from Karbla Maidan, Bible House, Ghansmandi side will park at Islamia High School.

· Vehicles coming from Ranigunj and Audaiah crossroads side will park at Govt. Audaiah Memorial High School, Audaiah crossroads, Ranigunj, Secunderabad.

· Vehicles coming from Rasoolpura, CTO, Balamrai will park at Mahatma Gandhi statue, MG Road (limits of Tr. PS Begumpet).

· Vehicles coming from St. Johns Rotary, Sweekar Upkar, SBH side will park at Belson Taj Hotel.

· Vehicles coming from Manju Theater side will park at Anjali Theater lane.
