Major fire breaks out at Raidurgams Bawarchi hotel building, no casualties

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in the Bawarchi Hotel building in Raidurgam here on Saturday morning. The second floor of the building which housed the office of the Action Guards Services caught fire. The fire department and ambulances rushed to the spot.

An inspector of the Raidurgam police station said 14 persons were at the office when the building caught fire. "All of them went to the terrace. When the fire officials came to douse the fire, the people who were stuck on top of the building were rescued," he said.

The Raidurgam police also confirmed that there were no casualties and everybody was safely evacuated. The property damage due to the fire is yet to be estimated.

The head constable of Raidurgam station said a short circuit is suspected to be the reason for the fire. However, a case has been registered and an investigation is on to establish the actual cause of the fire, said the inspector.
