Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, supporters booked for threatening Alwal DC Srinivasa Reddy
The MLA tried to submit a petition to the Deputy Commissioner of the Alwal Circle.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 8 March 2024 2:12 AM GMTHyderabad: Police have registered a case against Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajasekhar Reddy and his supporters for threatening the deputy commissioner and preventing employees from entering the GHMC office at Alwal.
The incident occurred when BRS organized a protest against LRS at the GHMC Alwal Circle office. MLA Rajasekhar Reddy actively participated in the program. He tried to submit a petition to the Deputy Commissioner of the Alwal Circle.
According to the Alwal police, a complaint was received from V. Srinivasa Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of the GHMC Office, Alwal, stating Marri Rajashekar Reddy and his followers came to the office, closed the main doors, and prevented the employees from entering.
Police said the complainant said he patiently waited in his car in front of the office. After about an hour of obstruction, during which they prevented him and his office employees from entering, he got out of the car and approached the MLA to take his representation letter.
Quoting the DC, police said the MLA threatened him with dire consequences, stating, "Em DC gaaru, yekkuva chesthunnaru, naa sangathi thelusaa, nee anthu choostha, nenendho choopistha."
MLA's followers, Doli Ramesh and Dilli Paramesh, chanted slogans like "DC down down" and threatened revenge. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered against the MLA and his followers under sections 149, 186, 189, 341, and 506, read with 34 IPC.
Meanwhile, tension gripped Dundigal municipal limits during illegal structures demolition drive at the MLRIT Engineering College.
Under tight police security, officials armed with JCB demolished the illegal structures on the college premises associated with the MLA. Illegal constructions in the MLRIT Engineering College's aeronautical enclave were allegedly owned by Malkajgiri MLA Rajasekhar Reddy.
Complaints have previously been received about illegal structures being built by encroaching upon the Chinna Damara Pond. Acting on the orders of the Collector, revenue, irrigation, and municipal authorities conducted massive demolitions.
