Mallampet: Sri Laxmi Constructions owner held for failing to provide promised villa amenities

The accused has been identified as Gurram Vijayalaxmi (48), a resident of Nizampet, Kukatpally.
Case details
The police said that Gurram Vijayalaxmi started Sri Laxmi Constructions, Sri Laxmi Magnus Constructions and Bhavana GLC cribs at Mallampet in 2018. In the company brochure, she promised to construct villas of 150, 120, 200, and 300 sq yards with facilities like a swimming pool, yoga room, indoor, and outdoor areas etc., with the permissions.
Approximately 260 members made an agreement with the accused and the construction staff by taking loans, selling their properties and paying a huge amount to the accused. However, the accused did not provide the facilities and didnāt complete the works like drainage, water, current meters, and compound wall promised by her.
Thereby, the investors filed a complaint that Vijayalaxmi cheated them who put their whole savings to purchase the villas. On Thursday, based on credible information, the police apprehended the accused person at the RGI Airport, Shamshabad, and brought her to the police station. Upon interrogation, the accused admitted to being guilty of the offences in the complaint.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
