Hyderabad: The accused in a Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe atrocities case was given five years of jail on Monday. The facts of the case involves the accused, Sesharao (32) a mechanic by profession, and how he harassed a woman and her daughter.

The police received a complaint in 2013 from a 35-yer-old woman who had been living with Sesharao along with her daughter. She and Sesharao got close after her husband passed away due to ill-health. Sesharao convinced the woman to give him Rs 2,40,000 for the construction of his house. Later, when she asked for the amount, he denied taking the money from her or having a relationship with her. He also abused her using her caste and then asked for sleeping with her daughter in return for the money he took.

Basing on the complaint, a case was registered at the Kushaiguda PS and the accused was arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The court after hearing all the arguments passed the judgement that Sesharao should be sentenced to jail for five years and fined Rs 15,000.
