Police said the accused picked up an argument with the victim after they saw him urinating on the roadside.

Man killed for urinating on road at Meerpet, three arrested

Hyderabad: Police on Tuesday arrested three persons for murdering a man who allegedly urinated on the roadside at Meerpet.

Police said the accused picked up an argument with the victim after they saw him urinating on the roadside. In a fit of rage, they hacked him to death, police said.

The accused have been identified as Meghavath Shankar, 30, Kapurvena Babu, 30 and Kambalapalli Shivashankara Varaprasad, 19, all painters by profession. The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Harijana Anand Raj of Kurnool district.

According to police, on Sunday evening, Harijana Anand Raj was urinating on the road near Balapur X road. Shankar and Babu who were passing by picked up a fight with him. Their friend Shankar who was also passing by joined in.

The trio rained blows on Anand Raj and as a result, he fell down and received a severe head injury. Due to severe bleeding, he died on the spot.

Alerted by passersby, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body for postmortem. Police later arrested all the three accused.
