MANUU documentary on biofertilizer wins award at India International Science Film Festival
The Urdu language documentary focuses on the production of biofertilizer from biowaste in Kurnool district.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 14 Dec 2021 1:21 PM GMTHyderabad: 'Transforming India', a documentary by the Instructional Media Center (IMC) of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), was judged the third-best documentary film at the India International Science Film Festival held in Goa on Monday.
The Urdu language documentary focuses on the production of biofertilizer from biowaste in Kurnool district.
The festival was organized by Vigyan Prasar, the Central ministry of science and technology, in association with the government of Goa, a MANUU release here said on Tuesday.
The award-winning film directed by M. Mohammad Ghouse, IMC production assistant, was among the 700 entries received from around the world along with another IMC film 'Kachre se Tawanai' directed by Obaidullah Raihan. MANUU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan congratulated the centre director and the team for this achievement.
Rizwan Ahamd, the director of IMC, said winning an award at the international level is a big achievement and the center will give its best to match the international standards and will emerge as a center of excellence. The center has been on the global front and represented several film festivals both at the national and international level in the past, he said.
