BJYM protest outside temple for action
Upon receiving information about the incident, locals along with members of BJYM gathered in front of the temple and held a protest condemning the incident. The protesters raised slogans demanding justice.
Hyderabad Deputy Commissioner of Police (South West Zone) G Chandra Mohan said that at around 8:20 am, SHO Tappachabutra A Ramulu, received information that a piece of meat, weighing around 250 grams, was found inside the Lord Shiva Temple in Sankata Vimochana Hanuman Temple premises near Madina Hotel, Natraj Nagar, under Tappachabutra Police Station limits.
Upon receiving this information, the SHO, along with his staff, swung into action immediately. Senior officers, including the ACP, Additional DCP, and DCP, visited the temple to assess the situation. Four teams were immediately formed to analyse CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
CCTV footage revealed the animalās involvement
During the investigation, CCTV footage from the north-facing camera of the temple clearly showed a cat carrying a piece of meat in its mouth and entering the temple premises. The footage conclusively proved that the cat was responsible for placing the meat behind the Shiva Lingam, the DCP said.
In light of these findings, we appeal to all citizens to refrain from spreading rumours or misinformation regarding the incident. On behalf of the Commissioner of Police, I commend the prompt and efficient efforts of all officers involved in detecting this matter in a short span of time, Chandra Mohan added.
