Medal for Cyberabad Commissioner Avinash Mohanty for his meritorious services
Over 11 officers serving in different ranks have been awarded medals announced by the Central Government on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations
By Newsmeter Network Published on 14 Aug 2024 8:56 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana police Head Constable Chaduvu Yadaiah who was stabbed in 2022, in an unfortunate incident by the two notorious chain snatchers and arms traffickers on July 25, 2022 has been awarded the President Medal for Gallantry (PMG) on the eve of Independence Day celebrations.
The two criminals had ”viciously” attacked the cop and repeatedly stabbed him all over his body but he did not let them loose from his grip. The brave policeman suffered severe injuries and was hospitalised for 17 days, according to the home ministry statement.
IPS officer Avinash Mohanty, currently serving as the Cyberabad Commissioner has been awarded a medal for his meritorious services.
Over 11 officers serving in different ranks have been awarded medals announced by the Central Government on the occasion of Independence Day celebrations. IPS Avinash Mohanty and his brother IPS Abhishek Mohanty, the current Karimnagar Commissioner of Police, are second generation IPS officers. Their father A.K Mohanty (IPS retired) served as Hyderabad CP and DGP of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.
Apart from IPS Avinash Mohanty, Syed Jameel Basha, Commandant, P Krishna Murthy, Additional Superintendent of Police, Komarabattini Ramu, Sub Inspector, Abdul Rafeeq, Sub Inspector, Ikram Ab Khan, Sub Inspector, Shriniwasa Mishra, Sub Inspector, Kunchala Balakashaiah, Sub Inspector, A Laxmaiah, Assistant Sub Inspector, Gunti Venkateshwarlu, Assistant Sub Inspector and Nuthalapati Gnana Sundari, Inspector, were selected for medal for meritorious services.
Meanwhile, Telangana Special Police (TGSP) Battalions Additional Director-General of Police, Sanjay Kumar Jain and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Katakam Muralidhar were selected for the President’s medal for distinguished service.
