Hyderabad: Four persons posing as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths reportedly 'raided' the house of a realtor and stole 1,340 grams of gold ornaments, diamond sets, and Rs 2 lakh cash at Jayabheri Orange County, a gated community in Nanakramguda, Gachibowli.
In her police complaint, Baghya Laxmi said four unknown persons knocked on their door. She said her driver Swamy Naidu opened the door and the guys said they are from the CBI. They showed their ID cards and entered the house and asked the family members to stay in the hall. Baghya Laxmi is the wife of realtor Subramaniam.
Later, they entered her bedroom and took the locker keys from the handbag. They decamped with gold ornaments, diamond ornaments, and cash.
It took time for the woman to realize that she was cheated. She approached the police to file a complaint on Monday evening. Police are accessing the CCTV footage from the area to identify the culprits.
Chances of enmity are being considered in the probe and CCTV footage is being verified, an official said. Special teams have been deputed to nab the culprits.
