Minister Harish Rao to attend Maha Mritunjay Yagna performed to protect people from COVID-19
The Telangana Minister of Finance Harish Rao will attend the Maha Mrithyunjaya Yagnam on 14 December in Gaganpahad to protect people from COVID-19.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 11 Dec 2020 12:20 PM GMTHyderabad: Nine months after the first COVID positive case was reported in Hyderabad, South India's biggest Cow Shelter Satyam Shivam Sundaram Gaunivas has organized Maha Mritunjay Yagnam to protect the people from the virus.
The Telangana Minister of Finance Harish Rao will attend the Maha Mrithyunjaya Yagnam on 14 December in Gaganpahad to protect people from COVID-19.
The Maha Yagnam is organized by a Cow Shelter, Satyam Shivam Sundaram Gaunivas that houses 5,500 cows since the past 25 years. The Yagna is being performed for the good of people across the globe here in the city.
Minister Harish Rao, Dr V. Lakshma Reddy, Director, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Government of Telangana, local politicians are expected to grant the same.
In Hindu culture, Maha Mrityunjaya Puja devoted to Lord Shiva is to avoid premature death and is performed to attain success over death.
The organizer said that it is done for the prolonged existence and healthy life of people from all over the world irrespective of any caste, creed, religion. It is also done as a cure of unending illness and healthy life. "Yagas are forms of worship that the Vedas prescribe for human beings. The Gita refers to yagnas as the wish-fulfilling mythical cow Kamadenu," said Dharamraj Ranka, Founder of Cow Shelter, Satyam Shivam Sundaram Gaunivas.
Giving details, Dharam Raj Ranka, said the Yagna will be performed through a combination of about 100 varieties of medicinal plants brought from Himayalas to protect citizens of this country from difficult and life-threatening times.
Over 5000 animal lovers(in small, small batches), Cow Bhakt are expected to grace the Maha Mrityunjaya Yagnam at different timings all through the day.
The 82 years jewellery turned cow lover, Dharamraj Ranka also added that he has been supplying cow dung as biopesticide under "Dharthi Sudhar" initiative free of cost to poor farmers and encouraging them to go for eco-farming. "I have fully dedicated his life for the cause of Cow Protection. I am the pioneer of Gou Shala Concept in twin cities and have been instrumental in setting up several Gou Shalas," added Dharam Raj Ranka.
