MMTS to resume services from Wednesday; here's list of trains you can take
Earlier on Sunday, the Union minister of state for Home, G. Kishan Reddy, had announced that MMTS services will resume in Hyderabad from next week.

Earlier on Sunday, the Union minister of state for Home, G. Kishan Reddy, had announced that MMTS services will resume in Hyderabad from next week.
The decision was taken by the Railways after he met Minister Piyush Goyal and requested him to resume the services. He said public transport has been the lifeline for the poor, middle, and daily wagers. It ran 121 services and had halts at 28 stations and ferry around 1.6 lakh passengers charging only Rs 5 to Rs 15.
Due to unexpected challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and in view of the need to curtail the spread of the virus, MMTS services had been suspended from 23 March 2020. Since then, the Indian Railways has gradually resumed Express train services. Continuing this forward, the Railways have approved the resumption of MMTS train services from 23 June in the two cities.
To begin with, 10 MMTS trains will operate from Wednesday as detailed below:
South Central Railway has appealed to all rail users to ensure that they act with responsibility and support the endeavor of the Railways in ensuring a safe journey. Accordingly, rail passengers are advised to follow all COVID protocols like maintaining social distance, compulsorily wearing masks, and frequent sanitization in trains and station premises.
MMTS service was introduced to cater to the needs of intra-city and suburban traffic in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad on 9 August 2003. Over time, the number of MMTS services increased leading to a rise in the patronage for these train services.
MMTS services have been providing the cheapest and safest transportation facility to the lower and middle-class people in the suburbs of Hyderabad. It is a lifeline for small traders, students, private employees and people working in other sectors.
