`Money heist: `Write Safe Guard employee shot dead by robbers at Kukatpally

Hyderabad: A security guard of a cash management company (CMS) was shot dead, while his supervisor suffered a bullet injury in a broad daylight robbery at Patelkunta in Kukatpally on Thursday.

Two youngsters opened fire at the staff of `Write Safe Guard', a cash management service (CMS) agency when the latter were replenishing cash in an HDFC Bank ATM machine.

In the firing, security officer Mirza Subhan Ali Baig, 74, was killed, while the ATM officer Chintala Srinivas 33, received a bullet injury in the leg. They shot two more rounds at Srinivas who was refilling the cash chest and the glass door before decamping with Rs 5 lakh. Baig had earlier served as a constable in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).

Another employee of the company tried to catch one of the suspects, but in vain.

A bullet also hit the ATM booth glass door. Police said the robbers on a Pulsar bike tailed the CMS vehicle from Kukatpally.

According to police, the duo barged into the ATM and opened fire on the two men before decamping with the cash. The CCTV footage is being collected from the nearby cameras.

Cases of murder, robbery, and assault were registered against the robbers. The investigation of the case has been put on the fast track.

Cyberabad Police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar visited the crime scene to take stock of the situation.

Meanwhile, investigators have cordoned off the area and analyzed the footage of the surveillance cameras.
