Nakka Vagu Nala encroachment: HYDRAA chief Ranganath to verify construction permission documents of Praneeth County

Hyderabad: HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath has directed officials to submit all relevant construction permission documents of Praneeth County, which is close to Nakka Vagu Nala in Patancheru.

In response to several public grievances filed during the Prajavani programme, HYDRAA Commissioner AV Ranganath has conducted a thorough field examination covering multiple locations across the city.




Nakka Vagu Nala encroached

During his visit to the Nakka Vagu Nala in Patancheru, the Commissioner noticed that about half of the nala's width—including its buffer zone—had been encroached. He instructed that encroachments be cleared if the nala does not meet the mandated width as per planning norms.

Ranganath proceeded to Masjid Banda, where a complaint about the encroachment of Jangam Kunta land was verified. In Kishta Reddy Peta, part of the Ameenpur Municipality, similar inspections were carried out in response to complaints about government land encroachments.

In response to local concerns, the HYDRAA Commissioner informed individuals who have already erected dwellings that they should not be concerned, but emphasized that no more encroachments would be permitted. He advised the locals to immediately bring any irregularities committed in the name of HYDRAA to the attention of the officials concerned.




Planned roads and parks in Gachibowli are being misused

During his visit, Ranganath also noticed that the planned roads and parks in Gachibowli had been erased and were now being used commercially for conferences. He assessed the situation on the ground and reported the misuse of authorized public spaces.

The inspection in Neknampur concentrated on claims that a wall constructed beneath high-tension power wires had blocked a route. In the same layout, the Commissioner also looked into allegations of encroachment on areas designated for public use. He also inspected an encroached government land in Survey No. 20, Neknampur, Gandipet Mandal, following the complaints.

Prevent contamination of the Gandipet lake

Later, Ranganath visited the Gandipet lake and investigated a complaint that sewage from Khanapur and Nagulapalli was flowing into the Gandipet lake through the Bulkapur drain. Officials were instructed to take immediate steps to divert the sewage and prevent further contamination of the water body.

The HYDRAA Commissioner further inspected the encroachment of a portion of the layout developed in Nadargul village of Maheshwaram mandal of Rangareddy district, covering an area of 230 acres. An inquiry was conducted at a meeting organized at the layout itself by Ranganath.




The Commissioner asked the victims to visit his office at Buddha Bhavan with the layout plan and land purchase records. assured that everyone would be investigated, action would be taken against those who occupied the property, and that he would stand by the victims.
