Narsingi accident: Cops arrest 19-year-old BBA student; accused consumed alcohol

The accused who was celebrating his birthday, and was going along with his friends to Moinabad at 5.30 AM on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: Hours after two women died and one woman was injured when a speeding car crashed into them at Hyder Shah Kote main road in Bandlaguda Jagir on the outskirts of Hyderabad, the police arrested a 19-year-old BBA first-year student who was driving the car.

A video of a car crashing into bushes along with the women has gone viral on social media.



At the time of the incident, the car was being driven by Md Badi Uddin Khadri, son of Rafi Uddin Khadri. Uddin Khadri is a student of Avinash College, pursuing BBA first year and is a resident of Shanthi Nagar.

Speaking to NewsMeter, Narsingi inspector said that the 19-year-old and his friends started driving towards Moinabad at 5.30 am to celebrate Uddin’s birthday. The accused was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.




The victims were identified as Anuradha (48) and her daughter Mamtha (26), residents of Lakshmi Narasimha Nagar. They were out for a morning walk when tragedy struck. Upon impact from the speeding car, the victims were flung into nearby bushes.

The lone survivor of this incident, Kavitha, sustained severe injuries and is now being treated at Olive Hospital.

The police have arrested the accused and further investigation is on.
