Hyderabad: An Air Force official was killed and his techie friend received severe injuries when their high-end `KTM 250' motorbike rammed into the newly constructed roundaboutnear `My Home Avatar' at Narsingi on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Vicky Kumar,25. Hailing from Bihar, he was posted at the Air Force Station in Begumpet. The injured techie has been identified as Isha Bhat, 25. Hailing from Delhi, she was working for an MNC and residing at Gandipet.

The duo was riding a KTM bike while their friend was following them on a scooter when the incident occurred. Kumar and Isha were on their way to Gachibowli for a cup of tea, police said.

Based on a complaint from Isha's sister Sanjana Bhat, Narsingi police registered a case against Vicky Kumar and started an investigation.

According to police, around 4 am on Wednesday, Vicky Kumar and Isha were en route to Gachibowli from Gandipet. When they reached near `My Home Avatar', Vicky lost control over the bike and crashed into the roundabout.

Passersby alerted the police and ambulance. They were rushed to Himagiri hospital at Gachibowli. Vicky was later shifted to Sunshine hospital at Gachibowli, but he died en route. Isha is undergoing treatment.


Police said the duo received head injuries. Sanjana Bhat came to know about the incident at around 4.30 am when she called up Isha and passersby answered the call.
