Hyderabad: The Telangana government has commenced the construction of a new Osmania Hospital building within the premises of the Goshamahal police stadium.
As part of the project, Hyderabad Police have begun relocating their operational units from the site, with commissioner CV Anand, inspecting the ongoing work on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters during the site visit, CV Anand confirmed that all police department offices located at the Goshamahal stadium have been vacated and officially handed over to the Medical Department.
āThe horse grounds and stables have been temporarily shifted within the stadium complex, ensuring continuity of operations while freeing up space for the hospital construction,ā he said.

Buildings for the police are under construction
The commissioner detailed that 11.5 acres have been allocated to the Hyderabad City Police at the site, where two five-storey buildings are currently being built. One will house the City Security Wing (CSW) and the other will serve as a central facility for impounded vehicles from across the cityās seven zones. A new horse stable and parade ground are also in development.
In addition, 2 acres of land adjacent to the Traffic Training Institute (TTI) have been allotted for further police infrastructure. The entire project has been sanctioned at Rs 55 crore by chief minister A Revanth Reddy, and construction is expected to be completed within a year under the supervision of the Police Housing Corporation.
