Out of the 41 works undertaken by the GHMC in the city under the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP), 30 have been reportedly completed. The remaining 11 works are at various stages of development. So far, 15 flyovers have been completed.

The Chandrayanagutta flyover will facilitate easy travel from Shamshabad International Airport to Nalgonda and Warangal via LB Nagar. To overcome traffic problems at Chandrayangutta, the flyover expansion was undertaken at a cost of Rs. 45 crores. It has four lanes, with a length of 674 meters on both sides, so that vehicles can directly go over the flyover without stopping at Kandikal Gate and Barkas junctions.

The flyover has been extended to avoid traffic congestion at the approach end of the existing flyover. The flyover was constructed to ensure easy travel to LB Nagar via Oyc junction and from LB Nagar to Shamshabad.
