Hyderabad: Team Newsmeter has recently reported that residents of Nabeel Colony and Metro Colony, Jalpally, Hyderabad are campaigning against Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy who is the MLA of the constituency.

The locals of the community shared that the reason for campaigning against the Minister was because she did not keep her promises. But bitter things till then turned sweeter today after the Minister has responded to the allegations.

In a heartening turn of events, Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and her son, Karthik Reddy, have received an outpouring of support from the residents of their constituency. The community's response comes in the wake of an ongoing media campaign against the mother-son duo.

Talking to us earlier, Mohammad, the President of the society said, "Despite multiple visits from prominent political figures like Sabitha Madam and MIM MLC Rahmat Baig Saab, residents have seen little to no improvement in their living conditions. Everytime we met her, we came back with a hope that the issues would be answered but all our efforts went in vain. No roads, no streetlights, no proper water resources and the list goes on."

The primary concern for the residents of this locality is the absence of essential infrastructure. They lament the deteriorating condition of their streets and the lack of basic amenities that they once enjoyed before the floods. They claim that the area, which has been designated as a "Nala" or drainage, has now become practically impassable. Residents cannot book cabs, ambulances, and even hosting marriage functions in the area has become a challenge due to the dire conditions.

Residents of the colony took it upon themselves to express their solidarity with the Minister and her son, who have been under the media's spotlight. They provided a perspective to highlight the achievements during Sabitha Indra Reddy's tenure, which has spanned the last five years. They said that the work accomplished in this relatively short period surpasses what has been achieved in the 70 years since India's independence.

The residents were given a comprehensive explanation of the development work undertaken in their vicinity, which, they were informed, was essential but had caused some inconveniences. The extensive scope of the projects, including challenges in land acquisition, particularly in SNDP, and the construction of numerous passages and channels aimed at averting future floods, was presented as part of the Minister's roadmap for the regions of Mallapur, Balapur, Shaheennagar, and more, leading to the River Musi.

Furthermore, the Minister and her son pledged to transform the colony into a model community, setting a standard for the entire Jalpally region.

Residents acknowledged the tremendous effort put forth by Karthik Reddy, who personally contributed to the development works. He tirelessly negotiated with various groups, transcending religious and political affiliations to ensure the betterment of the area.

In an act of gratitude, the residents now call upon the public to take notice of the positive response they received during this visit and to share it widely on social media.

The community has announced plans to invite Karthik Reddy for a campaign and discussions on civic issues, aiming to strengthen their bonds further.

Expressing their sincere appreciation for Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and Karthik Reddy's valuable time amidst their busy election schedule, the community extended its heartfelt gratitude for their generosity and support during these moments of connection.

The community conveyed regards and thanked Newsmeter for making this possible.
