Hyderabad: A seemingly routine trip to catch a flight turned into a traumatic experience for Manish Mishra, a 51-year-old NGO founder from Chanakya Shakti in Bihar.
Mishra, who was en route to Hyderabad, has filed a complaint in Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar police station in Hyderabad against an unidentified individual who allegedly not only jumped the security queue but also physically assaulted him at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in Patna on September 6.
The incident unfolded at the airportās security checkpoint when Mishra, standing in line like any other law-abiding citizen, noticed a person in a white kurta and pyjama attempting to bypass the queue. Expressing his disapproval, Mishra questioned the individualās actions, sparking a heated exchange of words between the two.
Mishra reported that the unidentified man allegedly grabbed his hand, forcibly twisted his left wrist, and proceeded to physically assault him. This unexpected assault left Mishra with injuries to his left wrist, requiring immediate medical attention.
Upon arriving in Hyderabad later that day, where he had come to meet a friend in Ameerpet and stayed at Green Park Hotel, Mishra sought medical care at Wellness Hospital in Ameerpet. Following his treatment, he lodged an official complaint at SR Nagar Police Station, urging them to take legal action against his alleged assailant in accordance with the law.
Sub-inspector D Ravi Raj of SR Nagar Police Station stated that they have registered a Zero FIR case under sections 341 and 323 of the Indian Penal Code. The case has subsequently been earmarked for transfer to Shastrinagar Police Station in Patna, Bihar, for further investigation.
