Nigerian man who sold drugs to 108 customers in Hyderabad, caught with 30 gms MDMA
During the inquiry, the police found that he frequently visited Goa to procure MDMA which he brought to Hyderabad to sell
By Newsmeter Network Published on 12 Aug 2022 10:23 AM GMTHyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with the Narayanguda police arrested a Nigerian national and seized 30 grams of MDMA from him at Niyaz Khana near King Koti Hospital here. The man has been identified as 37-year-old Osigwe Chukwuemeka James of Nigeria.
The police seized 30 grams of MDMA, four cell phones, some currency notes from the Cayman Islands and Qatar, and Rs. 4,000 Indian currency notes from James. They are all worth Rs. 3 lakhs.
James was living illegally in Hyderabad. During the inquiry, the police found that he frequently visited Goa to procure MDMA which he brought to Hyderabad to sell. The police have identified 108 customers who are purchasing drugs from James. An investigation is on to identify other consumers. The police also found that James had two Nigerian passports. He arrived in Hyderabad on 9 November 2021 by using a fake passport under the name Alamanjo Nmasichukwuand. His Visa expired on 6 April 2022.
During his earlier visits to India, he used his original passport under the name Osigwe Chukwuemeka James. Whenever he was caught by the police, he produced his fake passport. In March 2022, he was arrested by the Goa police under the NDPS Act. He used his fake passport at the time.
